More About Me

My name is Wendy and I've always been a pop culture/entertainment freak! I was always the one who read too many magazines, listened to music until all hours of the night (unbeknownst to my mom!), and read every credit on every television show, and every film I watched. 

As a child I always wrote short stories, poetry and songs. I wanted to continue writing about what I love, so I started my blog, Cocoa Popps! 

Cocoa Popps is a means to express a perspective I feel is missing from mainstream media. I offer my take from a black perspective, and  mirror the kinds of conversations taking place in our community about our images and experiences in pop culture. (Basically I say the stuff you may be thinking but might not dare say in public! LOL!)
